DMS UPDATE September 2012
· Roll out on the F & Q in October; by the 8th these Divisions will have delivery of their fully populated databases.
·
Training will start early October for DRMU’s and
supervisors – go live date for booking on/booking off (BOBO) will be the end of
October
·
Training will be a NCALT, Induction briefings
and a team of ‘floor walkers’ to do onsite handholding for a period following
introduction
·
DMS will have primacy with regards to BOBO and
also in relation to sickness reporting, monitoring and maintaining, HR systems
will be made obsolete. The BOBO system will also allow officer to book sick and
resume.
·
E Division next December/January time
·
V & X Departments next following Pegasus
review, should be by the end of April 2013
·
Then all remaining Divisions will be rolled out,
to be completed by September 2013
·
Then all remaining Departments to be completed
by the end of 2013
·
The ability to nominate PH’s will not take place
till 2014 (the determinations for this are not in yet)
·
There are no imminent plans to move away from
local DRMU’s (contrary to the Chief’s vision) as they do much more than just
duties.
·
DMS may increase the likelihood of staff
deviations, as the system will indicate potential future staffing shortfalls.
So if a future court case of an officer reports long term sick, then DRMU’s and supervisors will be flagged and made aware of a
shortfall and if permissible in regulations will be deviating staff (if
possible) to cover shift shortfalls.
